I’ve moved quite a bit in my life. We rarely have stayed in the same place for more than a couple of years. So I’m very familiar with the logistics and trials of a physical move.
A blog move? Terrified. Completely ball-of-anxiety over here. I mean, how can I do this to my readers (both of you)?!? What if it doesn’t work? What if I lose all my stuff? I spent so much time on my current blog (not that you could tell) and now I have to do it all over AGAIN??
Then I followed my own advice by giving myself some advice. And I, in true type-A Emily fashion, created a pros-and-cons list about moving blogs and how I should do it. Since “start over new” outweighed “excessively complicated transfer to new platform with little experience and lack of support”, I decided to use the extra time trying to re-create my blog for running and instead, well, here we are. You probably understand now what I did.
So, here we are in the new place. It looks like crap since nothing has been customized and everything is still in its virtual box, but since it’s “about the journey and not the destination” I’ll spend a little time this weekend on the Google figuring out how to clean up and we’ll see how it progresses.
Until then, I need more coffee.
