This morning I went to put on a pair of pants that I thought fit me, but they were too tight. And not too tight as in I’m-growing-a-small-human too tight. Just tight all over. As in stop-eating-so-much too tight. Sigh. I was really hoping I didn’t need to get bigger clothes until I needed to shop the maternity section, but now I need just a bigger pair of pants. So I’m all like, maybe I should slow down and lose a little fat, just to fit in my pants. But how do you lose fat when growing a baby? The two are sort of at odds.
Of course I checked out my friend Dr. Google, and everything I read said just what I was thinking, pregnancy is not the time to lose weight. Well, I’m not trying to look good in a bikini. I’m trying to fit back into my pants that are too snug all over. Either way, I started using My Fitness Pal to track how much and what macros I eat in a given day. Dear god, that was a wake-up call. I think I eat about as much as a trucker on a cross-country trip.
On the other hand, I could just buy bigger pants, roll with it, and worry about the weight thing after November when the little peanut makes its debut. I think I’m going with that option, it’s way less stressful.
Meanwhile, here’s WIAW! Thanks again to Jenn at Peas and Crayons for hosting!

This was actually what I ate Monday, when I remembered to take pictures of everything.
Brunch at Eats in SF: BAT scramble, breakfast potatoes, sourdough toast, coffee
Mid-afternoon iced tea on my way to the doctor
Pre-dinner spinach salad, leftover corned beef, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots.
And now I’m off to read PaleoFX recaps while eating a croissant. Because that’s how I choose to live my life right now.
